Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), eTrepid Inc., brings together a panel of National industry leaders during Cybersecurity Awareness Month to discuss the personal liabilities executives will face when their business becomes victim to a cyber-attack. The free one-hour live virtual event, “Coffee and Conversations with eTrepid: Is Your Business Ready for a Breach?” will take place via Zoom on Thursday, October 27th, at 11:00 AM EST. The panelist will focus on what makes small to mid-size businesses (SMBs) a target, how Business Owners, C-Level Executives, or Board Members who fail to manage cybersecurity properly can personally face fines, civil and criminal liability, and what the insurance industry requires of businesses to level up their preparedness.

This year’s cyber event will offer insight from expert breachers and subject matter experts in law, insurance, and defense. Featured panelists include John Lundgren (The Breacher), CEO and Founder, BreachBits; Steve Spillman (The Special Agent), FBI Baltimore Cyber Task Force; Thomas View, Esq. (The Lawyer), Managing Director, TEMVI; Chris Wilkerson (The Insurance Provider), VP of Risk - Head of Insurance, Blackpoint Cyber; and Matt Lee (The Cyber Expert), Senior Director of Security and Compliance, Pax 8.

“This virtual event serves as an opportunity to provide SMB leaders the knowledge needed to protect themselves and their business from threats they may not even know they can be held criminally liable for,” says eTrepid CEO Tom Blandford. “We see that cyber-attacks are becoming more prevalent for SMBs. Through this discussion, we want to help mitigate risks and expose the breachers by letting business leaders know how to avoid and combat them.”

Registration for the event is currently open. Interested parties can visit eTrepid.com for more information or call (301) 259-3332.
